Taylor Swift was spotted walking alongside Travis Kelce as they exited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, capturing the attention of fans. The pair is officially spending time together!
The “Lavender Haze” singer was filmed leaving the stadium with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end by her side. As they walked, Swift briefly smiled at the camera and appeared to say “bye.” Kelce, dressed in a patterned two-piece outfit, also flashed a smile and nodded to the camera.
Swift cheered for the Chiefs during their matchup against the Chicago Bears from Kelce’s suite, where she was seen enjoying the game alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. The two women chatted and laughed together throughout the event.
Swift has been busy flying back and forth to see her boyfriend, but she’s faced backlash after reports revealed her private jet flights produced 138 tons of CO2 emissions in just three months.
The couple made their first public appearance together in September when Swift attended a Chiefs game, where Kelce plays. They publicly confirmed their relationship in November, sharing posts on Instagram during date nights and at Swift’s concert in Argentina on November 11.
In an interview with Time, Swift shared that they quietly started dating in July after the football star admitted to having a crush on her during an episode of his New Heights podcast.
As their relationship blossoms, Swift has frequently traveled between New York and Kansas City to be with Kelce, even making trips between her performances on her Eras World Tour in South America. In the past three months alone, the pop superstar has taken more than 12 private jet flights.
According to the Instagram account Taylor Swift’s Jets, her whirlwind romance with Kelce has resulted in 138 tons of CO2 emissions over three months. To offset this impact, she would need to plant over 2,200 trees, prompting some public discontent.
Reports indicate that private jets produce the highest emissions per passenger for air travel. Statistics compiled from the Celebrity Jets Twitter account track celebrities’ private jet usage, including flight counts, average duration, distance, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Swift topped the list with a total of 170 flights on her private jet, which added up to nearly 16 days in the air since the beginning of the year. The report noted that this is a significant number, especially considering she is not currently on tour.
Her flights averaged just 80 minutes, with the shortest being a 36-minute trip from Missouri to Nashville. In 2022, Swift’s total flight emissions amounted to nearly 8,300 metric tons of greenhouse gases, which is 1,200 times more than the average person’s annual emissions.
However, Swift’s representative disputed the report’s findings, stating, “Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals. Attributing most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect,” in an emailed statement to Newsweek.
