Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are getting ready for their daughter Zaya Wade’s upcoming endeavor.

Dwyane shared a sentimental Instagram photo to document the visit. The 51-year-old actress and the 42-year-old retired basketball player took Zaya, 16, on a tour of the University of Washingtоn in Seattle.

Dwyane Show posted a picture or a video of the group exploring the college’s campus and admiring the plants, buildings, and study spaces.

In one, he’s seen grinning with Zaya as they stand under a purple UW umbrella. In another, the teenager takes a pose among the famous Suzzallo Library’s shelves and tables.

The videos, which the overjoyed father published, show him and Union smiling as a tour guide talks and Zaya and Union walking under the cherry blossoms that cover the college quad.

The NBA veteran, unable to contain his excitement, captioned the photo with, “We’re into the College Visits season!!!”

Dwyane also added more photos to his Instagram Story, including one that showed the library’s elaborate roof and another that showed Pike Place Market, another tourist destination he visited in Seattle.

Whatever organization Zaya decides to apply to in the end, her resume is impressive. She made her runway debut in March of last year and appeared on the cover of her first magazine as a model, influencer, and LGBTQ+ activist.

Wade, who was guaranteed to receive the “first signed copy” of her DAZED issue, and Union, the NBA player’s spouse since 2014, both support her.In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Dwyane, who is the father of Zaya and her elder sibling Zaire, 22, with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, said that he tries to show Zaya “unconditional love.”

“I don’t want to be one of those people who has been given to Zaya and she doesn’t feel open and confident around me,” he said to PEOPLE. “My goal is to be an example of unwavering love so she can find comfort in my presence as she makes her way through life.”

“I think Zaya reflects it,” he added, referring to the 12-year-old who came out as transgender in 2020. “Because Zaya is an active member of the trans community, the world sees it in her.”

Along with Xavier, who is ten years old, whom he fathered alongside Aja Metoyer, Dwyane and Union also welcomed five-year-old Kaavia into their family in 2018. And he is also the guardian of his relative Dahveon Morris.
