He just can’t stay away from his beloved island.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was spotted wrapping up a day of filming in Hawaii on Friday.

The actor was smartly dressed in a blue and white striped T-shirt and white pants with a necklace of what appeared to be large blue pearls around his neck.

The 47-year-old was joined on set by wrestling pal Joe ‘Roman Reigns’ Anoai, 34.

But there’s no indication of what they were filming unless it’s a last minute addition to Hobbs & Shaw, which shot on the island and is due out on August 2.

Meanwhile, Dwayne is of Samoan descent and spent part of his childhood in Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu.

So he surprised demonstrators by joining their protest against the building of a $1.4bn telescope on Mauna Kea mountain on Wednesday.
