On Sunday, Stephen Curry went to the star-studded dinner party hosted by his former teammate Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors.
An insider exclusively discloses to Page Six that Curry made an appearance at a Boardroom holiday dinner at The Nines in New York City, which was hosted by the Brooklyn Nets player and his longtime manager, Rich Kleiman.
The insider claims, “Kevin and Steph were very happy seeing each other and had some quiet alone time too. They both embraced and got to chat and catch up.”
Richie Akiva, Jeff Zucker, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Victor Cruz, CC Sabathia, Gayle King, and Fabulous were among the other famous attendees.
According to reports, Kleiman hailed “connectivity and bringing people together” with a speech and Cincoro tequila toast.
Additionally, it is reported that as Durant and Cruz conversed about the New York Giants, Sabathia and Justin Tuck were “deeply in conversation about business.”
In addition to delectable appetizers including hamachi crudo, tuna tartare, endive salad, gnudi, roasted maitake, burgers, and chocolate mousse, guests also enjoyed wine and specialty drinks.
Durant and Curry, 34, are getting back together amid speculation from the summer that the power forward from the Nets may rejoin the Warriors.
Curry stated he would be thrilled to play alongside Durant, 34, again if the transfer were to occur.
“Yeah!” would be my response if you mentioned, “Oh, KD is coming back, and we’re gonna play with him.” I had a great time playing with him those three years. In September, Curry told Rolling Stone. After then, you need to consider: What does that really meаn? How does it appear?
“When you tell me I’m playing with Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Jordan Poole—my current teammates—I’m like, ‘yeah!'” A wide range of emotions and events affect the league.
“No offense to anyone on our team, but you don’t understand how things operate,” he said in response to anyone who said that you wouldn’t entertain that topic. However, you also realize that, should we try to win this again, I am fully confident in my team’s ability to do it.
In the past, Durant won consecutive championships with the Warriors before unexpectedly switching teams to play for the Nets in 2019.
Later in the offseason, he gained notoriety for asking for a transfer, igniting speculations about his retirement, and purportedly urging Joe Tsai, the owner of the Brooklyn Nets, to dismiss the team’s hierarchy.
On Wednesday at Barclays Center, the Nets and Warriors will square off against Durant and Curry.
