Actor Stephen Baldwin has encouraged followers to “pray” for Justin and Hailey Bieber, raising health fears.

The 57-year-old actor posted a mysterious Instagram Story on February 26 requesting prayers for his daughter and son-in-law. All Things Possible Ministries founder Victor Marx wrote over a clip of the “Peaches” singer playing the guitar: “Christians, please when you think of Justin and Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord.” Baldwin reposted the Instagram Reel.

The Usual Suspects actor didn’t explain why the couple, who have been married since 2018, needed fans’ prayers, but the tweet immediately raised concerns about Bieber’s health.

The “Love Yourself” singer has been upfront about his health journey with fans recently. In June 2022, Bieber announced his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological condition that paralyzes the face nerve.

An unexplained sickness forced him to postpone his Justice World Tour concerts, and he revealed the diagnosis. Bieber released an Instagram video showing his right face developing “full paralysis”.

Justin here, everyone. He said in the 10 June 2022 video, “I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on.” “As you can probably see from my face, I have Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which is caused by a virus that attacks my ear and facial nerves, paralyzing my face.”++

“As you can see this eye is not blinking,” Bieber continued, showing his right eye was still. “I can’t smile on this side of my face, this nostril won’t move, so it’s full paralysis.”

He said, “So for those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, not capable of doing them.”

You can see this is serious. I hope this wasn’t true, but my body’s telling me to calm down, Bieber said. “I hope you guys understand and I’ll be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so I can do what I was born to do.”

“But in the meantime, this ain’t it,” he joked. “I gotta get my rest on, so I can fix my face.”

He told supporters, “I’m gonna get better and I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal and it will go back to normal, it’s just time and we don’t know how much time it will be.”

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which causes chickenpox and shingles, according to the Mayo Clinic. It rarely affects youngsters and mostly affects individuals over 60 who have had chickenpox.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome has two basic symptoms. A severe blistered rash around one ear is the first. Facial paralysis on the affected ear side is another major symptom. Both symptoms usually occur together, however one can appear alone. Ear pain, hearing loss, tinnitus, dry mouth, and taste changes may also indicate the disorder.

Days later, Bieber updated followers on his health. The “What Do You Mean?” singer posted on Instagram Story: “Wanted to share a little bit of how I’ve been feeling. Each day gets better, and amid all the suffering, I find consolation in one who designed and knows me.”

As I recall, he knows me completely. He knows my darkest secrets and always embraces me into his loving arms. This perspective has calmed me amid this terrible storm.

He continued, “I know this storm will pass but in the meantime JESUS IS WITH ME.”

Bieber’s wife Hailey supported him during Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Rhode Beauty creator gave followers a health update on Good Morning America in June 2022.

He’s doing fine. His condition is improving daily, she said. He’s feeling better and it was a stressful and random scenario, but he’ll be fine.”

She added, “I’m grateful he’s fine.

The model thanked “fans, friends, family” for their “support” during his health issue, saying, “Everyone has sent well wishes, advice, recommendations. The experience has been amazing.”

Bieber’s wife had a health scare at the same time as his diagnosis. Hailey was hospitalized for “stroke-like symptoms” and heart surgery in March 2022. Doctors eventually determined that a brain blood clot caused a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), or mini-stroke. She also has a PFO, a tiny cardiac opening that generally closes after birth, identified by a transcranial doppler test.

Hailey said on Good Morning America that their health issues made them “upfront” and “a lot closer” together.

“Going through this together, you’re being there for each other and supporting each other, and it really bonds you,” she said. I think that’s the silver lining in these difficult times.

Although confident about his recovery, Bieber had to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour in October 2022. He was scheduled to perform in Dubai later that month after canceling 12 performances in October. On social media, Bieber’s management said he was “taking a break from touring to make his health a priority”.

Justin Bieber updated fans on his Ramsay Hunt syndrome rehabilitation nearly nine months after his diagnosis. A video of him beaming from both sides of his face on Instagram reassured admirers that he was steadily recovering.

Baldwin’s prayer request has not been addressed by Bieber or his wife. The two left on February 28 to attend a late-night worship service at Churchome worship at Saban Theatre in Los Angeles.
