Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson celebrates his mother Ata’s 72nd birthday: ‘She’s a shining beacon of love’

Dwayne Johnson is honoring a very important woman in his life.

His family wished his mother, Ata Johnson, a happy 72nd birthday over the weekend in a touching video that the star shared on Monday.

There is a video of the Moana star carrying two cakes to the dining room table where his mother was waiting. His two youngest girls, Jasmine, 4, and Tia, 2, are sitting next to her.

The family started to sing “Happy Birthday” to Ata as the former professional wrestler walked up. The actor told Jasmine to wait for her grandmother before blowing out the candles.

Jasmine was so happy that she blew out the candles on the cakes just as her dad said, “Ask grammie!” and laughed at his daughter’s happiness.

“Happy Birthday @atajohnson aka Mama Rock ,” the dad of three wrote in the comments. “Beautiful birthday weekend as we all celebrated my mom’s big day.”

He went on, “Life is unpredictable, and we never know what’s around the corner. That’s why we try to see every day as what it is: a true blessing. And my mom is the best example of that.” Because she has been through a lot, she lives life to the fullest every day and is a bright example of love, joy, and kindness.

He added with a smirk, “And my favorite part of this video is when my child Jazzy blows out all the candles and @laurenhashianofficial sings sweet harmony Mom, happy birthday! We adore you! “Happy birthday and happy family ❦”

Johnson gave his mother a new house for Christmas in December 2018.

“Oh no! “Gave my mom a new house for Christmas,” the star wrote under an Instagram video of his mom getting a “golden ticket” that lets her choose any house she wants, anywhere she wants.
